$120,282 total in payouts, including $25,500 added to the drum competition ($10,000 for first prize).

Friday, Sept. 6: 7PM
Sat. Sept 7: 1PM and 7PM
Sun. Sept 8: 1PM

Admission:
Elders / youth (60+ / 7-17): $5 minimum ($10 for the whole weekend)
Adults (18-59): $10 minimum ($20 for the whole weekend)
Kids five and under free of charge

Featuring:
No Regalia Special, Switch Dance Special, Sweetheart Special, Grass Dance Spotlight Special and more. Plus, Sr. Princess, Jr. Princess and Little Brave Pageants, hand drum contest, Lahal (stick games), over 40 vendors with food, art, crafts and more.

Every September, when the leaves change colour and the days become shorter, the Williams Lake Harvest Fair brings communities in the Cariboo Chilcotin together for one weekend.

Our mission statement: The Williams Lake Harvest Fair through hosting an annual exhibition will encourage a medium of exchange of information on the development of rural lifestyle, agriculture awareness and development, and promote the 4-H program.

If you eat, you’re involved in agriculture!

We pride ourselves on being a country fair, where our #1 focus is to show our visitors the importance agriculture plays in every one of our lives.

The fair takes place at Stampede Park, 880 Mackenzie Avenue South in Williams Lake

The Horsefly River Roundtable invites you and your family to join our community September 7 & 8, 2024, for the annual Horsefly River Salmon Festival. Come and celebrate with us the return of sockeye salmon to their spawning grounds on the beautiful Horsefly River.

• Talk with knowledgeable local River Interpreters who will be on hand to answer your watershed questions all weekend long
• Visit DFO information kiosks and representatives, to learn about the Horsefly Sockeye run
• Take part in fishy Arts & Crafts for children of all ages, and take part in Gyotaku — traditional Japanese fish painting
• Follow our fully accessible Horsefly Salmon Habitat Trail to the Spawning channels and learn more about this wonder of the natural world.
• Participate in fish dissection to find out more about the inner workings of sockeye salmon
• Listen to some local musicians by the river
• Talk with the Invasive Species Council of BC, Canadian Wildlife Federation, Northern Shuswap Tribal Council -Fisheries, Cariboo Conservation Society, Tolko, EDI and the Quesnel River Research Center about their engagement and work in regards of our watershed.
